Another Way Home recounts the extraordinary story of how a mother creates an alternative environment to the psychiatric system.
The family embarks on an emotional journey overcoming prejudice and bigotry to help change many lives damaged by the revolving door of mental health care.
The film challenges current methods of psychiatry and attitudes to mental illness. It looks to the future with inspiring testimonies from those who have been to the edge of human experience and back carrying with them the triumph of will, a lust for life and a right to live it with dignity.

Jeremy Irons to Attend Festival of Writers in Florence, Italy
From June 12 to 14, 2013 in Florence, Italy is the Festival of Writers.
The event is linked to the award-Gregor von Rezzori City of Florence for the best work of foreign fiction translated into Italian. Two of the largest events in the program are the keynote address by Patrick McGrath, and Jeremy Irons and Laura Morante which will be staged to celebrate the 500th anniversary of ‘The Prince’ by Machiavelli.
The event takes place between readings, meetings, lectures of actors and writers in various places of the city: from Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Strozzi and Medici Riccardi, at the Odeon cinema which will host the keynote address of the author of Madness and the show, sponsored in collaboration with Fondazione Toscana system, dedicated to Machiavelli, of texts chosen by Roberto Ando, starring Jeremy Irons and Laura Morante.

In the new docu-feature Trashed, a Blenheim Films production, produced and directed by British filmmaker Candida Brady (Madam and the Dying Swan), which was selected to receive a Special Screening at the Cannes Film Festival, Irons sets out to discover the extent and effects of the global waste problem, as he travels around the world to beautiful destinations tainted by pollution. This is a meticulous, brave investigative journey that takes Irons (and us) from scepticism to sorrow and from horror to hope. Brady’s narrative is vividly propelled by an original score created by Academy Award winning composer Vangelis.

Jeremy Irons to Participate in Benjamin Britten Tribute at Charleston Festival
Due to a scheduling conflict, Jeremy Irons was unable to participate in the Charleston Festival.
Alex Jennings replaced Jeremy Irons reading poems, principally those of W.H.Auden, which inspired Britten’s songs.

Benjamin Britten visited Charleston and was painted by Duncan Grant. In his centenary year, we have assembled a unique gathering of speakers to celebrate his work and life. Michael Berkeley, composer and Britten’s godson, presents BBC Radio 3’s long-running Private Passions. Ronald Blythe, author of Akenfield, worked with Britten in the 1950s. His new memoir, The Time by The Sea: Aldeburgh 1956-1958, describes this period. Nicholas Kenyon is Managing Director of the Barbican Centre. He was previously controller of BBC Radio 3 and responsible for the Proms from 1996-2007. Jeremy Irons, one of our major stage and screen actors, from The French Lieutenant’s Woman to last year’s BBC 2’s Hollow Crown, reads poems – principally Auden’s – that inspired Britten’s songs.
