Jeremy Irons Reads ‘The Hunting of the Snark’ for the Isle of Wight Literary Festival

Jeremy Irons reads Lewis Carroll’s famous nonsensical poem. The plot follows a crew of ten trying to hunt the Snark, which may turn out to be a highly dangerous Boojum. The poem is dedicated to young Gertrude Chataway, whom Carroll met at the English seaside town Sandown in the Isle of Wight in 1875.

To mark National Poetry Day on October 1, 2020, Jeremy Irons reads ‘Kindness’ by Naomi Shihab Nye, in support of Kidasha.

Jeremy is an old friend of Kidasha’s and a huge supporter of their work helping street children, victims of abuse and struggling families in Nepal.

To raise awareness of the uphill battle we continue to face under life in a global pandemic, and remind us to hold onto the hope we need to overcome them, Jeremy kindly and beautifully read Kindness by Naomi Shihab Nye.
