Dennis Quaid is joining the cast of the dramatic thriller The Words, in which Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Irons are set to star.
The film will mark the directorial debut of Tron: Legacy writers Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal, both of whom also wrote the script.
Quaid, repped by WME, will play Clay Hammond, a celebrated writer, in the tale in which Cooper’s character, another writer, discovers the price he must pay for stealing the work of another man, played by Irons.
Michael Benaroya of Benaroya Pictures is producing along with Animus Films’ Jim Young, and Serena Films’ Tatiana Kelly. Untitled Entertainment’s Laura Rister is exec producing the film with Cassian Elwes under their joint venture Waterfall Media.
Waterfall Media/Untitled is repping U.S. rights, while Parlay Films’ Lisa Wilson is handling international sales at the Cannes Market.
