Some of Britain’s most acclaimed and talented artists, that include renowned landscape and ballet painter Alan Halliday, and photographer Sam Irons exhibited works in the Air Gallery, in Dover Street, Mayfair for one week with donations from all sales going to support the work of the British Red Cross.
Clico Kingsbury of the Dadbrook Gallery and the organiser and curator of this fund raising week had put together a collection of works by Chinese artist Qu Lei Lei, photographer Sam Irons, Jessica Holmes (one of last year’s most sought after graduates from the Royal Academy Schools) and much loved sculptor Michael Cooper as well as Alan Halliday.
‘Not only are the artists on show enormously talented in their own fields, they are also humanitarians, and are very happy to support the British Red Cross through the sales of their works.’ said Clico Kingsbury. ‘There will be plenty of works for sale to suit all sized wallets, from canvases to posters.’
The Exhibition took place at the Air Gallery, 32 Dover Street, Mayfair from 21st to 26th May, 2007.
